Jennifer Horton is a certified teacher who holds degrees in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education Cross Categorical. She taught in a special education classroom for 14 years where she helped exceptional learners thrive while working alongside their families and other teachers to build a strong collaborative team.

She created Unlocking Exceptional with a mission to empower parents of exceptional learners to become their child's greatest advocate. She continues to work alongside families as a special education coach helping them navigate their child's IEP processes and procedures through comprehensive resources, ready to use templates, and one on one coaching.

She knows that the world of exceptional learners can be confusing and overwhelming for families, but the community of parents using her methods and tools have found a resource they can trust.
